CLAYCOMO, Mo. — Claycomo police found a wandering child, about four years old wearing only pajamas and socks early Sunday morning.

An officer on patrol in the area of 69 highway and Bryant Street found the boy about 7:00 a.m.

The boy was cold and a bit scared, but not harmed.

The boy could apparently not tell officers where he came from.

An area canvass began, and about 45 minutes later a family friend who was watching the child while mom went to work, approached officers and the boy was re-united.

Police say it appears the boy was outside only about 5-10 minutes, and did not suffer any injuries or frostbite.

Police believe the boy just happened to wander outside, and there was no criminal intent or abuse.

There were no arrests and no charges are expected.
