INDEPENDENCE, Mo. — A crash in Independence overnight split a pick up truck in half and sent one person to the hospital.
Friday morning, authorities were called to 35th and Crysler on reports that a pickup truck ran into a tree.
The driver was headed northbound on Crysler and tire marks can be seen on the pavement where the truck left the roadway.
Police are investigating what may have caused the crash.
The driver was not immediately identified.
