KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Kansas City, Missouri, fire crews extinguished a house fire near East 9th Street and Benton Boulevard early Monday morning.
The call for the fire went out around 7 a.m. It was out by the time 41 Action News crews arrived around 7:30 a.m.

Crews on scene said no one was injured, but nine adults and a child were displaced. Firefighters found four pets alive.
The fire happened near a power meter where trash had been piling up and is under investigation.
