Kansas City firefighters were called to a structure fire on Eighth and Prospect on Thursday afternoon.
The fire was reported around 4 p.m.
Dozens of firefighters arrived on the scene to put out the flames.
A firefighter was injured in the fire after he fell down some stairs, officials said. He is expected to be OK.
The building was for a property management and construction company.
