KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Start growing your hair out now.

Heavy metal rockers Megadeth and Lamb of God are co-headlining “The Metal Tour of the Year” across North America in 2020.

The 55-city tour, which also includes Trivium and In Flames, was announced Monday. It includes summer and fall legs with a stop Oct. 16, 2020, at the Sprint Center in downtown Kansas City, Missouri, during the fall portion of the tour.

This is the first tour in three years for Megadeth since lead singer and guitarist Dave Mustaine was diagnosed with throat cancer. He has recovered and is excited to return to the concert stage.

“I’m back again, better than ever and coming to a town near you with Lamb of God, Trivium and In Flames,” Mustaine said in a statement announcing the tour. “If you want high octane metal madness this is the tour for you."

The summer leg of the tour kicks off in mid-June.

Tickets go on sale to the general public at 10 a.m. on Friday through Live Nation or the Sprint Center website. Citi cardmembers will have access to a special presale beginning at 10 a.m. Tuesday through 10 p.m. Thursday
