Deadly hit and run near Kansas Turnpike

One man is dead after a driver hit him with their car on the Kansas Turnpike and didn’t stop on Thursday.

It happened about six miles east of Lawrence on I-70 around 8:30 p.m.

Investigators believe the man may have been struck by a semi and a second car.

The driver of the second car did stop to wait for officers.
