KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Kansas City, Missouri, police said a deadly shooting in the Northland appears to be a murder-suicide.

Officers were called to the 9400 block of Northeast 91st Street around 10 a.m. Monday on reports of an armed person and shots fired.

The callers told police they saw a disturbance between a man and a woman and then heard gunshots inside a home.

Responding tactical officers and negotiators attempted to make contact with anyone inside for hours.

After receiving no response, officers went in and found two people, a man and a woman, dead from apparent gunshot wounds.

On Tuesday, police said the incident appears to be a murder-suicide.

KCPD said it appeared the husband shot his wife, then himself.

The woman has been identified as 48-year-old Jamie Williams.

The man has been identified as 45-year-old Damone Williams.
