Dog lovers participate in Dog n' Jog
KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Dog lovers united Sunday morning on the Country Club Plaza for the 31st annual Dog 'N Jog, a fundraiser for the Humane Society of Greater Kansas City.
Hundreds of people helped raise money for the shelter that also offers low-cost veterinary care.
Gary Lezak and Sunny the Weather dog, as well as Kevin Holmes were at the walk.
The two-mile walk started at 8 a.m. There were agility performances, pet photos and other contests. There was a one-mile walk at 9, followed by a wiener dog dash.
The race starts and finishes at Ward Parkway and Central Avenue. It goes along Central, Pennsylvania and Nichols Road. Ward Parkway is also shut down for vendors.
