A driver was arrested after hitting another vehicle and smashing into a pole overnight.
Kansas City police said officers started to follow a red Corvette because it was driving recklessly. After a short pursuit, police backed off because the vehicle was going too fast.
Later, officers found the vehicle had hit another car and smashed into a pole at Armour and Main Street.
Police said the driver was arrested.
There were no injuries in the crash. Public Works fixed the pole that had been struck.
