KANSAS CITY, Mo. — The driver of a red Ford F250 died after he drove off North Brighton Ave. and landed upside down in Shoal Creek.
Kansas City, Missouri, Police Department accident investigators were called to Northeast 72nd St. North Brighton just before 11 p.m. on Saturday.
A witness reported she was northbound on North Brighton when a red pickup was driving over both of the center yellow lines.
She thought he was going to hit her head on.
The driver of the Ford then swerved back toward the southbound lane, but went off the roadway and down the embankment.
The truck then overturned and landed in standing water in the creek.
The driver was transported to an area hospital where he was pronounced dead a short time later.
