JOCO gateway project creating headaches for some

The Now KC checked in with drivers who are navigating their way around the Johnson County Gateway Project, and the majority of them said side streets are becoming their best option. For the next couple of months, the 95th Street and I-35 interchange is closed for construction.

"Know your side streets and use the alternate routes," said driver Jennifer Piatt. "My commute takes an extra 15 minutes."

According to the Johnson County Gateway Project website, the area will be rebuilt into a new diverging diamond interchange. The entire interchange and some surrounding streets will be closed until August.
