KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The stories of the 17 people killed when a duck boat sank Thursday at Table Rock Lake in Branson will grow in the coming days as friends and family remember the lives lost.

Several sources have identified one of the victims as the boat’s driver, Robert “Bob” Williams.

Tony Krukow, who is an attorney in the area, first heard about the incident by looking out from his home, which overlooks the local hospital. He saw lots of ambulances and emergency vehicles coming into the hospital around 7:30 p.m. Thursday.

Later, Krukow heard the news about Williams from a fellow church member.

“It’s been a long night,” Krukow told 41 Action News by phone on Friday morning.

Krukow described Williams as uplifting and always thinking positively.

Williams used his job as a duck boat driver to help spread the word of the ministry.

“He enjoyed being with people,” Krukow said.

We will update this story as more information becomes available.
