KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Kansas City, Missouri, police have identified the victim of a fatal crash that occurred Saturday morning.
Rena J. Cross, 44, was riding in an Acura heading southbound when the crash occurred around 6:15 a.m. Feb. 1 on Interstate 29/35 merging onto Interstate 670.
Police were called to the scene on a two vehicle crash.
Police said one of the vehicles burst into flames.
I-670 was shut shut down while emergency crews worked the scene and transported victims to the hospital.
Police say initial injuries were reported as serious, but since then one person has died at the hospital.
I-670 was shut down until 9:45a.m
The investigation continues.
