KANSAS CITY, Mo. — KCFD battled a house fire near Winchester and Truman Monday morning.
The house was vacant, but the fire did spread to houses directly next door, one of which was occupied.
The two people that lived in that home called 911 when they saw flames. They are OK, and were able to head back inside of their home once fire officials assessed the inside.
The chief on scene said at one point, fire crews had to step outside due to safety concerns, as the home had several holes in it.
No injuries were reported. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
