KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Edwardsville, Kansas, police are still investigating after the death of a girl Wednesday night.
Michelle Hawkins, 6, was walking along railroad tracks and was crossing a bridge when she fell to a shallow creek bottom.
The department said the circumstances surrounding the death aren't suspicious and appear accidental.
Officers were dispatched to the area near Mission Creek and Williamson after 7 p.m. on Wednesday.
Upon arrival, officers found Hawkins unresponsive. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
