KANSAS CITY, Mo. — A gas station employee was shot in the face after a reported attempted robbery in the 2400 block of Metropolitan Avenue early Tuesday morning in Kansas City, Kansas.
Police were called to the gas station around 3:30 a.m.
Detectives said a male employee was shot in the face during the robbery attempt. Police said there were two suspects involved.
A store manager told 41 Action News the suspect did not get away with anything and was only there for a minute.
They also said the suspects had a rifle and shot through the plexiglass shield at the employee.
The employee is reported to be in stable condition at an area hospital.
No suspect description has been released.
