Missing 82-year-old Independence woman located, is safe

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Independence police said a missing 82-year-old woman with dementia has been located and is safe.

Law enforcement issued an Endangered Silver Alert shortly before 6:30 p.m. Thursday for Helen K. Daniel.

She was last seen leaving her residence in the 18000 block of Reading Place around noon Thursday.

Approximately a half-hour after sending the Silver Alert, Independence police said Daniel had been found.
