Kansas City, Mo. — The Missouri Department of Transportation plans to close lanes on I-435 from Three Trails Crossing to the 104th Street Bridge over the weekend.
The following closures will begin at 6 p.m. Friday night and go through early Sunday morning.
Westbound I-435 will be down to one lane, as will westbound I-470 coming into the interchange.
Eastbound I-435 will be down to two lanes during the closure.
The work is to repair the Blue River Bridge as part of MoDOT's larger plan for the area.

"This actual work that we're doing is actually a bi-product of us being out there doing a larger 435 South Loop Link project," MODOT Assistant District Engineer of Program Delivery Perry Allen said. "It's the improvement of the eight bridges along the corridor, improving the capacity and safety as far as for traveling public from State Line to the Three Trails Crossing interchange."
