KANSAS CITY, Mo. — The extreme heat expected in Kansas City on Friday has led organizers to postpone the 5K at Arrowhead Stadium.
The Chiefs made the announcement late Thursday afternoon.
The sixth annual event was scheduled to begin at 8 p.m., but the Chiefs said the organization postponed the event to "ensure the safety of all participants," according to a release.
A future date for the race has not yet been determined.
