A 69-year-old woman was killed and two others were injured after a car ran a red light at 119th and State Line in Leawood, Kansas.
Police were called to the area around 9:30 a.m. Sunday morning. According to the authorities, a white GMC pickup truck was traveling southbound on State Line when the driver blew through a red light and struck a Lincoln.
The passenger of the Lincoln, a 69-year-old woman from Overland Park, died at the scene. Her 71-year-old husband was driving the Lincoln and he was transported to the hospital in critical condition.

A third car was also hit as a result of the crash. That driver suffered only minor injuries.
