FBI searching for suspect in KCMO bank robbery

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — The search is on for a suspect wanted in a bank robbery Friday morning.

An FBI spokesperson said agents are investigating after the suspect robbed the U.S. Bank branch at 8701 Blue Ridge Blvd. in Kansas City, Missouri.

The lone suspect entered the bank around 9 a.m. and made a verbal demand for money. The FBI spokesperson said no threat, or threat of a weapon, was made.

The suspect fled the bank with an undisclosed amount of money.

The suspect, who may be in their mid 20s, is described as 5 feet 7 inches tall. At the time of the robbery, the suspect was wearing a black Nike hooded sweatshirt, gray sweatpants, black shoes, gloves and a covering on their face.
