KANSAS CITY, Mo. — A Kansas City, Missouri, Fire Department ladder truck was involved in a crash with another vehicle and a building Sunday near 79th Street and Troost Avenue.

The ladder truck with an on-duty crew of four firefighters was northbound on Troost when a white Cadillac Deville turned left into its path.

The collision drove the Cadillac into a Toyota Matrix, while the fire truck crashed into the front of the Academy for Integrated Arts building at 7910 Troost.

Two occupants of the Cadillac were transported to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries. No firefighters were injured and the occupants of the Toyota suffered only minor injuries.

The building was unoccupied at the time. It's unclear how much damage it sustained, but the fire truck's front end was heavily damaged.
