Firefighter injured battling house fire on Troost Avenue

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — One firefighter was injured battling a house fire Saturday night.

The fire began around 7:17 p.m. on Troost Avenue in Kansas City, Missouri.

Deputy Fire Chief Jimmy Walker said that the firefighter fell through the floor while in the home.

The firefighter, according to Walker, was transported from the scene and is expected to be OK.
