Firefighters worked a call at their own station on Harry S. Truman Dr. after a fire truck caught fire Sunday night.

According to crews at the scene, they were inside Fire Station No. 3 when they heard some popping sounds. When they went to investigate they saw flames inside the cabin of one of the fire trucks.

The fire was put out using a second truck. The burned truck will be towed away for the damage to be assessed.

No injuries were reported.

According to a tweet, a crew from the Western Cass Fire Protection District was also called in to assist.
