KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Five dogs were found dead in Brush Creek this week, and officials are trying to determine what killed them, and who may have dumped them there.
A fisherman found three of the dogs on Wednesday.
No word on where on the creek the dogs were found.
A woman involved in a rescue group took the first three dogs to the KC Pet Project.
Tori Fugate, spokeswoman says the dogs were in such bad shape they couldn't make out a breed.
Later two other dogs were also found.
The Pet Project has no idea how the dogs got into the creek or what happened to them.
