Flash flood warning issued for portions of Kansas City metro

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — The National Weather Service has issued a flash flood warning for some cities in the Kansas City metro area until 12:15 a.m.

Lee's Summit, Raymore and Pleasant Hill are included in the warning.

A flood warning also has been issued by Clay County.

Anyone in those areas should avoid driving or walking through flood waters.

NWS also reported that street flooding has occurred across parts of the southern Kansas City metro area.
