KANSAS CITY, Mo. — A former high school teacher in Cameron was sentenced Tuesday to federal prison for producing child pornography.
In August, William D. Williams admitted to secretly recording three teenage victims between January 2013 and September 2018. The recordings took place in a bathroom in Williams’ home.
A 15-year-old discovered the hidden camera in the bathroom. The other two victims were a 16-year-old and a teen between 14 and 16 years old, according to U.S. Attorney Timothy Garrison.
U.S. District Judge Howard Sachs sentenced Williams to 20 years in federal prison without parole, followed by 10 years of supervised release.
Williams, 40, formerly was a high school language arts teacher and a part-time multimedia teacher at the time of the offense.
