Former KC man faces sexual assault charges in New Orleans, KC

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — A former Kansas City, Missouri, man faces sexual assault charges from stemming from three sexual assault cases in 2004.

Daniel Meridy, 35, who now lives in New Orleans, faces three counts of kidnapping, nine counts of armed criminal action and four counts of forcible rape, sodomy and sexual abuse.

Meridy was connected to the Kansas City cases after being taken into custody in New Orleans due to sexual assault cases there.

Court records indicate that the assaults occurred near East 38th Street and Troost Avenue, Armour Boulevard and Troost Avenue and the 3900 block of Flora.
