KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Those who are missing the opportunity to grab their boots and head to a summer country concert due to the pandemic are in luck.

And if you miss singing "Friends in Low Places" at a Royals game, the news gets even better.

It was announced Thursday that a Garth Brooks concert experience could be headed to drive-in theaters on Saturday, June 27.

The show would start at dusk on the big screen.

Tickets go on sale June 19 at 10 a.m. and there is a limited amount available. They must be purchased online and cost $100 per vehicle.

The concert will take place rain or shine.

Editor's note, 3:30 p.m.: A revised version of this story indicated B&B drive-in in Independence would host the concert. A spokesperson for a company that originally supplied a list of theaters says the list was meant as a listing of theaters fans could call to request the theater show the concert, not a listing of theaters showing the concert.

Editor's note 1:46 p.m.: A previous version of this story listed the Boulevard Drive-in Theater and Midway Drive-in as show locations. Those locations have reached out to 41 Action News to say their theaters were not supposed to be listed on the website. They will not be showing the concert.
