KANSAS CITY, Mo. — The Leawood Fire Department is investigating a fire at Gates Bar-B-Q in Leawood.
Firefighters were called to the restaurant around midnight after a custodian noticed a fire in the kitchen area.
A battalion chief on scene says the kitchen did suffer some damage.
It's unknown if the restaurant will be open on Friday.
No one was hurt.
