KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Entrepreneurs can get a helping hand this week in Kansas City and across the world. Global Entrepreneurship Week started Nov. 10 and runs through Nov. 18.

The Kauffman Foundation in Kansas City, Missouri created the event in 2008 to help people with business ideas connect with resources, mentors and strategists to achieve success. Over ten years, the free event has grown to more than 160 countries.

KC Sourcelink helps run the event in Kansas City. The week is full of seminars, competitions and networking opportunities. Most of the events take place at Plexpod Westport Commons. Organizers said the co-working space is the perfect location to encourage collaboration.

The goal is to enable innovators to create jobs, spur economic growth and improve the quality of life through successful business ventures. KC Sourcelink says start-up businesses in the Kansas City metro area create roughly 16,000 jobs every year.
