KANSAS CITY, Mo. — A QuikTrip location will soon be coming to Grain Valley, Missouri.

The Grain Valley Planning and Zoning Commission on Wednesday approved site plans for the convenience store, which will be located at the Interstate 70 and Main Street interchange, according to a news release from the city.

“QuikTrip will be a great addition to Grain Valley not only to serve our citizens with the many amenities it provides, but also the thousands of commuters that will be drawn into the city by the popular and trusted establishment,” City Administrator Ryan Hunt said in the release.

The project is expected to be finished in spring 2020.

QuikTrip has more than 700 stores nationwide. The Grain Valley store will be part of the chain’s “Generation 3” store model, which includes a larger kitchen area, a specialty hot and cold drink area staffed by baristas, and an ice cream area, the release said.
