Gunman robs Lee's Summit credit union late Tuesday afternoon

LEE'S SUMMIT, Mo. — A man walked into a Lee's Summit credit union Tuesday afternoon, pulled a gun and robbed the business.

The robbery happened at 4:15 p.m. at the Summit Ridge Credit Union, 3845 Ralph Powell Rd., according to an FBI news release.

The lone gunman grabbed the cash and ran from the credit union.

He got into a minivan and fled, according to the press release.

The robber is believed to be middle-aged and wore a black jacket and black stocking cap.

No one was injured during the robbery.
