Gunshot victim left in front of Lee's Summit Target

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Lee's Summit Police are investigating after a man was shot and left in front of a Target store.

Officers were called to the Target on Northwest Chipman Road around 1:40 p.m. for a gunshot victim.

When they arrived, they found the man lying on the sidewalk in front of the building. They determined he had been pushed out of a vehicle and left there.

Detectives are questioning the victim and some witnesses that were in the area to figure out where the shooting actually happened.

Lee's Summit detectives determined the victim was shot in Kansas City, Missouri, and was transported to the Target.

The victim is in the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

KCPD is now investigating the shooting.
