Hang on tight, folks: This story is about a bunch of bull. In this case, the bull is named Corner Stone and weighs in at over 1700 pounds.
It is all part of the Professional Bull Riders (PBR) competition going on through Sunday at the Sprint Center. This is the 13th year they’ve been in town.
According to in-arena announcer, Matt West (yes, that is his real name - perfect for his job), you don’t have to be a rodeo fan to have fun at the event.
There’s a little bit of WWE mixed in with a whole lot of athleticism and drama.
The cream of the crop will be competing this weekend including Holt, Mo.’s favorite son, Brady Sims.
Brady is in his third year on the circuit, already ranks in the top 35 in the world and is moving up. He got his start as a “mutton-buster” - a junior rider who practices on sheep - when he was just a little kid.
The secret to being successful in this sport? Brady says it’s simple: Hold on tight and wait for that bell to ring!
