KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Kansas City-based Hiland Dairy issued a voluntary recall Tuesday for their half-gallon whole chocolate milk out of concerns the product might contain eggnog.
The eggnog could cause issues for those with a egg sensitivity.
The company says the product was sold and distributed at retailers in Kansas City, Topeka, and St. Joseph.
About 1,151 half-gallon jugs are part of the recall.
Affected jugs bear a UPC label of 0-7206000128-0, with a sell-by date of Dec. 13, 2018. The jugs also include the plant code 29-162.
Consumers who purchased the jugs can return the product to their retailer for an exchange or discard the product.
