Nine-year-old Josiah and his 3-year-old sister Hattie love to bust a move. So, what better way to get moving and grooving than hopping aboard the KC Streetcar.

If you do so any weekend in December there’s a chance you’ll come across an up-and-coming musical act like Enrique Chi.

“When you start playing music at the early stages, you’re just lucky to have anyone listen at all,” Chi said. “It’s fun to just interact with people and my music is very rhythmic, so they seem to resonate, even if they don’t know what’s going on.”

In addition to music on the streetcar, Donna Mandelbaum with the KC Streetcar Authority said they’re picking a stop along the route where a musical act like Royce “Sauce” Handy will be performing.

“This is another venue for them to expose their music to a wider audience,” she said.

Mandelbaum said the Streetcar Authority tried something similar during the summer months, and it was well received. So, they decided to give it another go and keep things upbeat while traveling downtown.

“Come downtown for the holidays,” Mandelbaum said. “Hop on the streetcar and just have a good time.”
