KANSAS CITY, Mo. — One person was shot and killed Friday night in a Kansas City, Missouri.
Just before 11 p.m, officers were called to the area of 7200 N. Jefferson Court.
Police located an adult female on the ground. The woman has been identified as 51-year-old Lisa Powell.
EMS declared her dead at the scene.
Joshua Thompson, 20, was arrested and charged with second-degree murder and armed criminal action in Clay County. His bond is set at $1 million.
Police said they do not have any information on the circumstances that led to the homicide.
