KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Police detectives launched an investigation Friday afternoon into the city’s latest homicide.
Around 1:30 p.m., officers were called to the intersection of East 40th Street and College Avenue on a report ed sound of shots in the area.
Upon arrival, officers located a man on the sidewalk west of the intersection. He was pronounced dead on the scene.
The victim was later identified as 20-year-old Malleek Tillman.
Police did not immediately release any suspect information or a cause of death, which remains under investigation.
