KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Popular Westport bars TikiCat and HopCat are closing due to a dispute with the landlord.
TikiCat, located in the basement of HopCat, said on Facebook that they plan to relocate in the future.
"After extensive negotiations with the landlord, we were not able to come to a mutual agreement on the terms of our lease," staff wrote on the TikiCat Facebook page.
HopCat announced on Facebook that their location will be closed permanently.
HopCat is a chain and still holds locations in other cities around the U.S. It is only the Kansas City location that is closing.
