Hy-Vee recalls cheesecake sold in Missouri, Kansas

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Hy-Vee issued a voluntary recall Friday after finding out that cheesecake sold at its stores made with Diamond Crystal Brands mix may contain Salmonella.

In a press release, the company said it pulled the product from shelves immediately after the mix supplier informed the store of the issue.

No illnesses have been reported.

The recall includes 32 varieties of cheesecakes sold in eight and 32 ounce packages with best if used by dates of Dec. 6, 2018 through Jan. 11, 2019.

The mixture was distributed to 117 of Hy-Vee’s 249 grocery stores across its eight-state region of Iowa, Illinois,
Missouri, Kansas, Nebraska, South Dakota, Minnesota and Wisconsin. Below is the list of product effected:

In the release, Hy-Vee noted that other Hy-Vee cheesecakes of the same variety but with a different UPC were not impacted by the recall.

Consumers who purchased the products should dispose of them or return them to their local Hy-Vee store for a full refund. Consumers with questions may contact Hy-Vee Customer Care representatives 24 hours a
