I-29 northbound open at Barry Road after semi crash

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — UPDATE, 9 a.m. | The Missouri State Highway Patrol says all lanes of the highway and the exit ramp have been reopened.

ORIGINAL STORY | Interstate 29 northbound is shut down at Barry Road after a semi crashed and spilled its contents on the highway.

Around 2 a.m. Tuesday, the Missouri State Highway Patrol says a semi wrecked, spilling Pepsi soda products on the highway.

No injuries were reported, but the highway is shut down at Barry Road while crews clean up the mess.

The highway patrol hopes to have two lanes back open by 5:30–5:45 a.m.

Motorists are encouraged to avoid the area.
