KANSAS CITY, Mo. — I-35 is being shut down in both directions for a bridge demolition at 199th street this weekend.
KDOT is shutting down the highway in both directions so crews can demolish the bridge at 199th street over I-35.
Beginning at 5:00 a.m. Saturday, February 27th and ending no later than 5:00 a.m. Sunday, February 28th, southbound I-35 traffic will be detoured onto US-56 at exit 210 then to K-33 then back to I-35 at Wellsville.
Northbound I-35 traffic will be detoured onto K-33 at exit 198 then to U-56 then back to I-35 at Gardner.
Motorists are encouraged to stay alert and drive with caution.
