KANSAS CITY, Mo. — The southbound lanes of Interstate 35 at 119th Street in Olathe reopened around 6:30 a.m. after an early morning crash.
The Kansas Highway Patrol reports the incident occurred around 4:30 a.m. Tuesday.
KHP said the driver of a 2015 Kia Sorento was heading southbound when they struck an unoccupied vehicle, a 2022 Honda Accord, on the right shoulder.
As the Sorento was disabled in the third lane, the driver of a 2019 Freightliner semi struck the Sorento, which sent it into the first lane.
At that time, the Sorento was struck by a 2018 Chevrolet Malibu.
The driver of the Sorento, a 39-year-old man from Buckner, Missouri, sustained minor injuries in the incident.
No injuries were reported by the semi driver, a 50-year-old man from Bonner Springs, Kansas, nor the driver of the Malibu, a 55-year-old Roeland Park man.
