Independence PD looking for person of interest in Oct. 30 homicide

The Independence Police Department is asking for help to find a person of interest in connection with a homicide.

Just before 2 a.m. on Oct. 30, police were called to the area of the 20100 block of E. 12th Terrace S. on a shots fired call. Officers found Jacobsen L. Laumoli, 27, of Independence, dead outside a home in the area with an apparent gunshot wound.

Police are now looking for Travon M. Williams, 21, as a person of interest in the case. Williams is described as 5’9” tall, weighs about 200 pounds and has black hair and brown eyes.
