KANSAS CITY, Mo. — 8:41 p.m., UPDATE | Police said Zoey Toney has been found safe.

ORIGINAL STORY | Independence police are looking for a 12-year-old girl who has been missing since Sunday night.

Zoey J. Toney was last seen around 6 p.m. leaving her home in the 800 block of North Wigwam Trail in the Susquehanna neighborhood, police said.

She is 4 feet 11 inches tall and 125 pounds, with long brown hair. She was last seen wearing black and white high-top Vans sneakers and the clothing seen in the third picture provided here by police:

Zoey left home on foot. She is in need of medication, police said.
