UPDATE 1:10 P.M. 7/15/2017: Independence police say James Kinder has been found and his family has been notified.

Independence police are looking for a missing man who has a diminished mental capacity.
James L. Kinder, 51, was last seen leaving his home July 10 on the 4900 block of S. Milton Court, according to a release from the Independence Police Department. Officials say Kinder isn't capable of taking care of himself and hasn't taken his medication since he disappeared.
He is described as a white male, 5'6" tall, weighs 180 pounds, has brown eyes and short brown hair. He was last seen wearing a blue short-sleeve shirt with cars on it, blue jeans, dark sunglasses and work boots.
He may have been spotted at E. 47th and Norfleet in Independence on July 11.
