Independence police search for woman reported missing by out-of-state family

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Independence police are searching for a woman reported missing by out-of-state family members.

Police said 29-year-old Alaura Jarboe is believed to have been staying in the 14800 block of East 42nd Street in Independence.

She is 5 feet 5 inches tall and weighs around 120 pounds with hazel eyes and blonde hair, which she recently dyed dark brown.

Jarboe also has a nose piercing, lip piercing on the left side of her mouth and several tattoos. There is one on on her upper arm/shoulder, "dacia" on the back of her neck, "faith" in brightly colored letters on her right side, a crown on her ring finger as well as "faith" and "love" on each wrist.
