KANSAS CITY, Mo. — The northbound lanes of Interstate 635 near Interstate 70 in Kansas City, Kansas, closed sometime before 4 p.m. Thursday as crews removed debris from the roadway.
Both ramps from Interstate 70 to northbound I-635 were also shut down.
The Kansas Highway Patrol said a piece of industrial equipment fell into the roadway due to a failed load securement.
KHP said on social media no injuries were reported.
The roadway has since reopened.
