KANSAS CITY, Mo. — The Jackson County Prosecutor’s Office plans to monitor polling locations on Tuesday.
Prosecutor Jean Peters Baker made the announcement Monday, stating in a news release that the office will be looking for “any voting irregularities in the Missouri Primary election.”
Irregularities include potential voter fraud and abuse of voters’ rights, according to the release, which could include threatening or attempting to prevent people from voting, “giving false information to prevent them from going to the polls or bribing a voter to support a specific candidate or issue.”
The general public can report irregularities to the Public Corruption Unit at 816-881-1357.
